Do you have plans for your Halloween pumpkins after the holiday? Bring them to Discovery Space! You'll be able to use them to practice working with a variety of easy to use power tools which we'll provide.

We're open late as part of Downtown State College's First Friday with free admission from 5-9pm! Join us for yoga, too! Little Yokes Yoga will be offering two free yoga classes during the November First Friday. Best for children ages 3-8. 
Space is limited so please sign up as soon as you arrive.  Program times are 6-6:30pm and 6:45-7:15pm.

Drop in Saturday, November 8 between 12:30-2:30pm to try out some super absorbent materials and learn how they’re being used in real life! Activities are being hosted by the Penn State Chapter of Material Advantage. Free with membership or paid admission.

BrainWorks Day Camp

Brain with gears
Calling all girls, ages 6-12! We are planning a whole day that will engage both hemispheres of your brain through art and science. Together with the Lab of Developmental Neuroscience at Penn State, we will explore how brains work and maybe even play a few tricks on them!
Space is limited and registration is required. $10 (non-refundable) fee must be paid at time of registration to reserve your spot. Call 814.234.0200 or stop in to register. $10 fee may be paid in person or securely online here. Before (7:30-9am) and after (4-5:30pm) care provided for an additional $10 per child.
Have a daughter too old to attend but still interested? We're also looking for a handful of motivated
13-18 year-old girls to assist in leading the activities of the day. We will hold a short training the week before camp.

Homeschool Days
The first Friday of each month from 12:00-3:00pm are Homeschool Days. Homeschool families are admitted at the group rate of $5 per person during this time.
