  • Weather Club

Have you ever wondered how meteorologists forecast the weather? The Weather Club at Discovery Space will give you an inside look at the science of weather and the technology that is used by local weather forecasters. And what would a weather club be without extreme weather? Members will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with tornadoes, severe flooding and lightning! We’ll visit places such as the Accuweather.com office and the Joel N. Myers Weather Center on the Penn State campus and talk with members of the community who are passionate about meteorology. Each Club member will receive a weather kit to collect information about the weather where they live.
    Best for 9-12 year olds.
    Dates: Wednesdays: February 1, 15, 29; March 14, 28; April 11, 25, 4:00pm - 5:30pm
    New Club members: $30 museum members / $35 non-members
    Returning Club members: $20 museum members / $25 non-members
